Fellow of Institute of Biology (UK), Fellow of Institute of Trichologists (UK), Member of Royal College of Pathologists (UK), Member of Society of Investigative Dermatology, Member of European Society for Pigment Cell Research, Member of European Hair Research Society (amongst others).

Research Interests: Regulation of skin and hair follicle melanocyte biology, especially with regard to neuroendocrine controls and aging influences. Elucidation of etiology and pathomechanisms of immune-mediated hair loss, particularly alopecia areata. Regulation of hair growth and cycling, especially with regard to mesenchymal cell dynamics.
